Osceola County Sheriff Foundation, Inc. is a public 501 (c) (3) organization formed to bring together charitable donors, community leaders and non profit organizations in support of, and to encourage, non-tax based philanthropic efforts for the benefit of Osceola County Sheriff's Office Deputies, employees and their families and innovations in crime fighting. All with the goal of enhancing Sheriff's Office services and to enhance the quality of life by reducing crime and the fear of crime throughout Osceola County.

Our Board Members

Paul’s Community Involvement includes, As Chairman of Boys & Girls Club, Paul led the effort that raised $4.5 million to help at-‐risk young people find a positive direction in life. Paul received the prestigious National Medallion Award for his work with the local Boys & Girls Club. HOME “Helping Others Make the Effort,” Paul led the effort that raised $2.5 million that is helping single parent moms with temporary housing and job assistance. CAC “Children’s Advocacy Center,” Paul led the effort that raised $3.5 million for a new facility to serve abused children in Osceola County. Celebration Community Church Building Committee, Paul led the effort to build a new church campus in Celebration. Paul has Successfully worked with Economic Development Department to create over 4,000 new jobs in Osceola County by attracting large employers like Championsgate, Lowe’s Distribution Center, Norseman Plastics and The Channel Intelligence Group to Osceola County. He has Served on Toho Water Authority, and the Osceola County Tourist Development Council. He was the Founder of “Lifetime Financial Concepts,” providing over 2,000 hours of free financial counseling to individuals, churches and corporations. and “Home for Holidays” which provides meals and gifts to struggling families. of experience in real estate sales and development. Scott’s family has been involved in developing real estate in Osceola County, FL since the mid 1970’s. His father was one of the original brokers working alongside Bob Kingsland in assembling the parcels to develop Disney World.
As Vice President of DIX Developments, LLC, Scott is currently managing a 6000 acre land portfolio worth more than 200 million dollars. The portfolio includes the Vive on Eola, a 13 story, 144 unit studio apartment building in downtown Orlando, FL, Roan Bridge, a 1224 unit mixed use project in St Cloud, FL, Crystal Ridge a 900 unit residential project in Lacanto, FL, Southern Pines, a 160 unit residential project in Brooksville, FL, and a 900 unit residential project in the Black Diamond Ranch community in Hernando County.
Scott has been married for 35 years to his wife Lisa and has two children. Scott is an Elder at Wekiva Presbyterian Church in Longwood Florida, he is also an Honorary Sheriff’s Deputy in both Seminole and Osceola counties for his service on their county sheriff foundations, and he is a recipient of the Seven Seals Award presented by the Department of Defense for meritorious leadership and initiative in support of the men and women who serve America in the Nation Guard and Reserve.

Lisa specializes in investment properties, general commercial and residential properties, buyer representation, vacant land, and commercial and residential property management. As a commercial property management principal, she has managed and leased all types and classes of properties. She also is a team leader of Global Rockstars Team, where she coaches sales agents at La Rosa Realty, LLC doing residential sales. She is passionate in giving back to the First Responders that sacrifice their time, families, and lives that she donates at closings to bless their families. In her early days, she worked in the healthcare industry for almost 30 years at Osceola Regional Medical Center, Orlando Health and later became an administrator/director of physician private practices in urology, pain management, internal medicine, and weight loss. She was responsible for managing multiple practices at one time, business development, brand & sales marketing, expanding physician practices, financial analysis and budgeting, relationship building, driving revenue profitability and human resources. Lisa has worked with physicians to expand their practices and purchase investment properties. She is a native of Central Florida and resides on her ranch with her husband in Osceola County. She is a proud mother of Brandy, Tiffany and Jasper, and grandmother of Zadi, Jimmy and Boone. She loves spending time with her family and making memories! She and her husband are partners of Celebration Community Church in Celebration and St. Cloud, Florida. In her spare time for fun, she loves riding her horses, spending time with her barn friends, and swimming in the lakes on horseback. She is a proud member of the local Mounted Posse Unit. as a general pediatrician for over 20 years. Dr. Chaban completed his residency in pediatrics at Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow, New York. He then relocated to the University of Florida and did a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Disease and Immunology, where he received recognition for outstanding services. Dr. Chaban founded Hunt Club Pediatric Associates in 1999 and has staff privileges at most Central Florida Hospitals. Dr. Chaban is married and has two children. In his spare time, he enjoys being with his ever-growing family, traveling and playing golf. Don't tell him we told you but Dr. Chaban has also been seen playing Pickleball recently, he is actually pretty good so watch out!

born in Winter Park. He is the Owner of All Finish, Inc., a mass production finishing company, that specializes in the application of OEM and military coatings to metal fabrication businesses, for components used in the commercial, aerospace, military, and telecommunication industries. Robert has been a licensed Real Estate Broker since 1984 and State Certified General Contractor since 1990. He works closely with Fortress K9 protection dog training, training dogs for Executive and Personal protection, as well as training dogs for use for Tracking, Explosive Detection, Service, Therapy work, and general Obedience. He lives with his wife, Kelley, of 33 years and has two adult daughters, Christina and Cindy. He has witnessed the growth and expansion of Central Florida, from the pre-Disney era, watched his father secretly work for Roy and Walt Disney amassing the properties that now comprising Walt Disney World, to Central Florida’s current status.

In 1979, John opened Fun N Wheels on International Drive, which was and still is the heart of the tourist corridor in Orlando, Florida. Fun N Wheels in Orlando was the first themed action park with multiple tracks, family rides, and an open-air arcade. It featured the world’s second slick track and central Florida’s first figure 8 bridge tracks. In 1988 John opened his second Fun N Wheels in Kissimmee, Florida, just minutes from Disney World. Both locations became a staple in the community and proved to be very successful. John sold the Fun N Wheels properties in 1988 and continued to manage the parks until 1991. In 1990 John opened the first Fun Spot in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and shortly after opened the Virginia Beach location. In 1994, In 1997 he moved the Fun Spot brand to Orlando and began construction of the Orlando park on the North end of International Drive, close to his original Fun N Wheels location. The Orlando park opened on December 24th, 1997, and introduced our patented design of multi-level tracks that became our signature. In 2004 we purchased the world’s tallest Skycoaster, and in 2007 we expanded that attraction to the 9 acres of tracks, family/thrill rides, and an arcade at the Kissimmee location. In June 2013, Fun Spot Action Park underwent a 15‐acre renovation and expansion including a name change to Fun Spot America! The Orlando location now boasts Orlando’s first wooden roller coaster along with the second-tallest SkyCoaster in the world, the tallest being at our Kissimmee location. In 2017 the Mine Blower wooden roller coaster opened at Kissimmee Park and features the only wooden roller coaster that goes upside down in the Southeast United States. The year 2017 also brought expansion outside of Florida when Fun Spot America acquired an existing park in Fayetteville, Georgia, and renamed it Fun Spot America Atlanta. The Atlanta location boasts our largest four-story go-kart track, The Samson. Standing at 40 feet tall and 1,800 feet long the track is Georgia’s first and only multi-level go-kart-track. Atlanta is also home to a new Ferris Wheel, Batting Cages, Mini Golf, and more fun for the whole family.

Management and Star Island Development Corporation. In Osceola County, he oversees Star Island Resort, a premier destination timeshare development with over 20,000 owners, 900 rooms, and 250 employees. He is in charge of all resort operations, management, sales and marketing, on-site revenue, hotel rentals, and new development.

He has been a guest speaker at the American Resort Development Association World Conference, the Direct Booking Summit, and HOA Insights seminars. An ARDA World Award finalist, Mr. Meyers has been published in numerous hospitality magazines such as Resort Trades and the Vacation Industry Review. After being pre-selected into the prestigious Yale Directed Studies Program with only 100 other freshman students, Matthew received his B.A. from Yale University as a double major in Economics and Philosophy.

After Yale, Matthew continued his education at Harvard University where he earned a Master’s degree. After graduation, he worked several years in Hollywood for an Oscar winning producer before moving to Kissimmee in 2014. Matt currently supports the Kiwanis Club of Homestead-South Dade, New Hope for Kids, and the David Posnack JCC at the Baer Family Early Childhood Learning Center at Temple Bat Yam in Fort Lauderdale benefiting early childhood, camp and programs for those with developmental disabilities.

When he isn’t in the office, Matthew lives in Lake Nona’s Laureate Park with his beautiful wife Cassandra and his two dogs Teddy Roosevelt and Leto.

Florida joining the family real estate business (Century 21 C & D Realty) obtaining a Florida Real Estate Broker’s license and assisting in growing that business from one to three offices. During this same period of time provided Financial Planning Services for high net worth individuals in association with CIGNA Corp. In 1981 started and currently serves as the CEO for Hallmark Pool and Spa World and eventually devoted full time efforts to building a business that for almost 40 years has provided residential and commercial swimming pool construction and remodeling services to clients such as Walt Disney World, Give Kids the World, and Universal Studios Volcano Bay as well as over 1500 residential swimming pools in the Central Florida Market.

Back to Work Task Force. As a Kissimmee Chamber of Commerce director and chair of its government advisory committee, Franklin presently serves as business development advisor to KPM Franklin. He is past president and CEO of Franklin, Hart & Reid, Inc., a civil engineering and land surveying company in Kissimmee which he co-founded in 1975 and was acquired and renamed KPM Franklin in 2016. During this tenure from 1974 thru 1986, Franklin also was project manager and vice president of development for the Real Estate Corporation of Florida and Community Developers of Orange County, Inc. Prior to this, Franklin was supervisor and director of land surveying for A. R. Toussaint & Associates in North Miami. Franklin has been involved in Osceola County and City of Kissimmee communities for more than 50 years. In addition to his current role with the Kissimmee Chamber of Commerce, Franklin is a past member of the Osceola County Board of County Commissioners, past chairman of the Osceola County Transportation Committee for Osceola Parkway, founder and past president of Osceola Construction Industries, past director of the Osceola Chamber of Commerce and served as a member of the Osceola County Planning Commission for more than 20 years.

Keith Trace, P.E., is a highly accomplished professional with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, graduating Cum Laude from the University of Florida. Currently, as the Vice President of Land at Property Investment Brokers in Orlando, FL, Keith manages a $400+ million real estate portfolio, overseeing diverse assets and leading acquisition, disposition, entitlement, design, and construction activities.

Previously, as the General Manager & Vice President at Mattamy Homes, Keith acquired over 11,000 lots of land, worth $350+ million, showcasing expertise in land strategy, business planning, and community development.

Beyond his successful career, Keith is deeply committed to civic engagement. He served on the St. Cloud City Council, held the position of Deputy Mayor, and contributed to various organizations, including the Osceola County Sheriff Foundation, Florida Municipal Power Agency, MetroPlan Orlando, and ImPower, a mental health and child well-being non-profit.

Affiliated with the American Society of Civil Engineers, Boy Scouts of America, and the Trace Family Foundation, Keith is a dedicated professional with a strong commitment to the community. His extensive experience includes leadership roles in planning commissions, advisory committees, and policy-making committees related to land use and economic development.

With a proven track record in real estate, land development, and community service, Keith Trace brings strategic insight, leadership, and a wealth of experience.

Dusty has been trailing cattle on a horse and working on ranches since he was old enough to sit on the saddle. As a 6th-generation Floridian, one of the Partin pioneering family in Osceola County, Dusty has a lifetime of solid networking throughout Florida. He went to college at McNeese State University on a bull riding scholarship and was 3rd in the southern region intercollegiate ranks in Bull riding for 2 years running.

Dusty is a member of the Florida Cattlemen’s Association, Silver Spurs Riding Club, Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and National Audubon Society. He is a lifetime member of American Bucking Bull, Inc. (ABBI) and a Professional Bull Riders (PBR) stock contractor. Additionally, Dusty is a founding board member for the Harmony Pop Warner Youth Football and Cheer League, and a past member of Osceola County Lakes Advisory Committee.

Dusty enjoys spending time with his family like his Cowboy ancestors. It’s in his blood to be working cows & breaking colts, rodeoing, hunting, and fishing. Dusty and his wife, Lucrecia, have been married since 1994 and have three children and a granddaughter. They attend City of Life church in Kissimmee, Florida.

Bob Geeslin is the current Director of Security Walt Disney World, overseeing Security operations at all WDW Parks, Disney Springs, and ESPN, including Investigations, Background, and Access Control programs. Retired FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge overseeing all daily Central Florida FBI operations and 100s of FBI personnel. He has twenty-nine years of combined Corporate and Government experience and leadership in the field of Physical and Cyber Security, Violent Crime, Terrorism, Assessment and Audit/Compliance disciplines. Bob is the recipient of the Global Security 2019 Values Award, recognized for my embodiment of the team’s core value of demanding Excellence and Integrity.

Since a young age, it has always been a dream of Dr. Christian Chaban to join Hunt Club Pediatrics and work alongside his father, Dr. Carlos Chaban. In his free time, Dr. Chaban enjoys spending time with family, grilling, boating, fishing, traveling, and going to the beach. Doctor Chaban married in 2018 to his wonderful wife Caitlin and they welcomed their first baby, Penelope in 2019. Baby Gabriella became the latest member of the family in September 2020.

Osceola County holds a special place in my heart. Since the mid 80’s I have been doing business there. I was honored to be elected as President by my peers at the Kissismmee Police Academy where I got my law enforcement training from several Osceola County Law Enforcement leaders. I have been blessed to establish a long list of connections in Osceola County through various closed land transactions with ranching, families and other private parties. Osceola County’s explosive growth creates a great opportunity to support and help promote the wonderful people of the Osceola Sheriff’s Department.

Our Advisory Board

The Sheriff was born in Chicago and raised here in Central Florida. A Proud father of three healthy children, two of which are UCF graduates. Originally joined the US military when only 17 years old and completed a total of 22 years of service. After leaving active duty and serving in the reserves, Sheriff Lopez became a Deputy in Osceola County. He obtained the rank of Sergeant and worked in various specialized units, including but not limited to narcotics, sex crimes and other types of crimes that required extensive criminal investigations. During his tenure with the Sheriff’s office, he became a field training officer and a firearms and defensive tactics instructor.

He has served in the Patrol Division as a deputy and Field Training Officer and as a detective in the Criminal Investigations Division. Chief Weis was promoted to and served as sergeant over the Property Crimes Unit, Internal Affairs Unit, and Human Resources. He was promoted to Lieutenant in the Patrol Division and the Research and Development Unit. He was promoted to Captain and was over the Support Services Division, Special Operations Division, West Side Patrol Division, and the Judicial Services Unit. Before becoming the Chief Deputy, He served as the Major over the Administrative Bureau.

Chief Weis has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Troy University. Chief Weis graduated from the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Academy in 2009. He is also a professor of criminology at Valencia College and Columbia College.

He is married to his lovely wife Kimberly and has two grown children and two stepchildren. He loves the diversity in the community and considers it an honor to serve the citizens of Osceola County.

He has served on the boards of FBC Bank, Sunshine State Bank, Southern Community Bank, 5/3rd Bank of Central Florida, MBA’s Legislative Committee, YPO, the City of Longwood, and the Leukemia Society. He received his bachelor’s degree in Business from USF and has his CMB from the MBA. Joe was named EY Entrepreneur of the Year, Executive of the Year by The OBJ and was chosen as one of Florida’s Businessmen to Watch. He has been a contributor to CNBC, Fox News, and CF News 13. Joe lives in Central Florida with his family.

and a former Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy where he received the Navy Achievement Medal for his service in Vietnam. He currently serves as a shareholder/partner in a law firm of Swann, Hadley, Stump, Dietrich, and Spears PA. and was managing partner for 22 years, stepping down this last year. Mr Hadley is currently serving as a trustee of the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind, acting as its endowment chairman and audit chairman. He is also a founding member of the Seminole County Sheriff Foundation and acting as its treasurer. He believes that the best way to be a person who has an impact on the community is to be actively involved in its various civic and related activities on a regular basis. Mr. Hadley lives in Central Florida with his wife Carol.

A McGraw-Hill international best-selling author, James has published nine books on various financial topics. Mr. Dicks has spent a lifetime in the development business including the family business which has facilitated more than 135 multi million-dollars in limited partnerships throughout Central Florida many of which were in the prestigious Dr. Phillips Market Area in SW Orlando. Other projects recently include, The VIVE on Eola, a $27 Million dollar 12-story mixed use building with 147 apartments, 28,000 sf of office/retail space in downtown Orlando, Roan Bridge a $300 million-dollar, 1224 residential unit mixed-use development, with over 100,000 in commercial/retail in Osceola County, FL, a 159 unit planned development in Hernando County, FL, and a 2000 residential unit master planned urban development in Citrus County, FL.
James has given more than 11,000 hours of community support, both on a local and federal level. He serves on the Sheriff Foundation for Seminole, Osceola and Orange counties. James recently completed 2, 3-year terms and was appointed by the Secretary of Defense to lead a program in Florida with over 120 volunteers and supporting the 35,000 Guard, Reserve and their families. He is now the State Boss lift Director for the DOD program.
James is a 7th generation Floridian, a Marine and has been married for 22 years to his wife Deb and has a son at UCF and a daughter, a senior in High School.
